A flair for all things bridal is in David Fox's blood.

His grandmother was bridal gown manufacturer Jean Fox who began selling her creations in 1932.

Today, David and his wife Bronwyn own a new concept store, Spurling Bridal & Formalwear, and have drawn on their years of experience in the wedding industry to create a venue which addresses all the needs of a bride and groom-to-be.

The entire first floor of the venue is dedicated to bridal and evening wear, dresses for bridesmaids, flower girls and school formals. The premises also houses a full stationery store Bochel Stationery within its walls, where wedding invitations, place cards and bonbonniere are available.

And experienced staff, including two wedding consultants, are always on hand to help.

Mr and Mrs Fox have owned and run three reception lounges and six ladies wear stores in Sydney, and David has been the master of ceremonies at hundreds of weddings.

The business couple can now add travel planning to their service with the Insignia Life and Travel Club soon to be launched at the store.

The club room will provide a quiet and comfortable environment for couples to sit and view wedding necessities on a huge screen while sipping a cup of tea or coffee.

Florists, cake makers, cars and limousines, photographers, honeymoon destinations, reception venues, celebrants and other services will be part of the screening.

The club will present new and different honeymoon destinations researched by David and Bronwyn, so there is no need to spend hours at a travel agency.

The store is open seven days a week. A cocktail opening night will be held on Friday, September 5, from 6pm to 9pm. Bookings essential.

Details: Spurling Bridal and Formalwear, 85-93 Victoria Road, Parramatta (the old sleeping giant bedding store). For more information call: 96837756. Email: sales@spurling
