Bishop guides pilgrims with Holy Spirit

23/07/2008 10:46:00 AM
Bishop Zithulele Patrick Mvemve, of Klerksdorp, South Africa, addressed a catechesis (religious teaching) session at Parramatta's St Patrick's Cathedral on Friday.

Catechesis was held in more than 250 locations in Sydney during the World Youth Day events.

More than 300 pilgrims attended the Parramatta catechesis which was centred on the Holy Spirit, faith and life. Catechesis involves prayer, questions and discussions. The bishop said: "We should not pass people by; we should be accommodating and identify the needs of others. Be empowered by your own people, for we are a people guided by the Holy Spirit.''
