With a dance floor by the river, world music has come to Sydney Olympic Park where there will be a different and free live concert every Sunday afternoon till September.

The Spice It Up series is at the Newington Armory Wharf, and this Sunday Gervais Koffi & The African Diaspora will perform live from noon to 3pm.

It promises to be an irresistible atmosphere of rhythms and sounds in a beautiful setting.

On August 3, Arrebato will take world music fans on a journey through the traditional flamenco rhythms and melodies of Spain with a contemporary twist provided by the diverse influences of these six amazing musicians.

On the following Sundays there will be a dazzling introduction to the rhythms and moves of Brazilian music and dance by Performing Brazil and an African gospel a capella group Pambazuka joined by Badema, an African trio featuring Moussa Diakite from Mali who played with Salif Keita.

On August 24, Mojo Juju and The Snake Oil Merchants, a big gypsy band from Newcastle, promises to drum up quite a storm.
