The historic Linnwood House in Guildford opened its doors to the public recently offering visitors a glimpse into the varied life of the house.

It included an exhibition documenting Linnwood's past through the years from a gentleman's country residence in 1891, to a home for state wards and to its current use by the community of Holroyd.

The Friends of Linnwood hosted the event, which featured displays and entertainment including an American Independents car display; art and craft stalls and performances by the Holroyd City Brass Band and

the Trocadero Rock'n'Roll Dance Troupe.
