 Truly, Madly, Deeply Darren Hayes

I'm seeing Darren on Saturday! Woo-hoo!

''I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it.''

I'm seeing Darren Hayes on Saturday! Yes!!!

Darren has once again made me even more happy by announcing on his MySpace site that he'll be in Sydney on Saturday, August 4, for an instore signing and performance at Hum, Oxford Street, Sydney.

That's this weekend! Five more days!

(If I was not at the office I'd be running around like a crazy woman saying 'Yes!' 'Yes!' 'I'm seeing Darren!' 'Oh My God').

Darren sure knows how to please his fans.

I admit I only found out this morning, as my computer at home doesn't fancy MySpace as much as I do (my sad dial-up connection takes ages).

When Darren posted his moving and so very wonderful song, Who Would Have Thought, on the site a few months back, it took me half and hour to load the song so I could get mum to have a listen.

So, this morning, I clicked on the site to read that he'll be in Sydney on Saturday and I very nearly had another Darren-related heart attack. It happens frequently.

I quickly phoned Jason and my mum telling them the news and already putting my plan into action (get there nice and early, get the camera ready, etc).

I was shaking and I had several stories to finish for the paper so the plan of action had to wait a few hours.

I got them all done no problem, except I was slightly distracted at one point, having to ask a woman to spell her surname five times before I wrote it down correctly. It was only a four-letter name, too.

I think she thought I was slow.

Stories completed, I forced myself to eat a little to calm my nerves...It has helped slightly. Actually, no it hasn't.

I'm still shaking with excitement.

On Monday, I'll have a full wrap up of Darren's performance at the store, hopefully with some photographs if those above allow it (and no, I'm not talking about God).

And stay tuned for another Truly Madly Deeply Darren Hayes in the next day or two.

Remember...and spread the word.

Darren Hayes will be at Hum on Oxford Street, Sydney, at 1pm, Saturday August 4.

His new single, On The Verge Of Something Wonderful, is out now.
