Only one man can save Australian rugby

The shame, the ig

nominy of success

ive failure under

coaches Eddie

Jones and John

Connolly can no

longer be tolerated.

At this rate, Aust

ralia may only win

five gold medals at

next year's Beijing

Olympic Games.

That would be a

catastrophe from

which the nation

might never re

cover.

It's time for alleged

strong man, vision

ary and Australia's

finest sporting ad

ministrator O'Neill

to live up to the

wraps.

He's done it before

in rugby union, he

did it for Australia

soccer, he can do it

again.

Hang the expense,

forget the nice-guy

niceties; do what

ever it takes to put

Australian rugby

back on top where it

belongs, and grind

ing those Poms into

the green sward.

There's only one

man for the job

Come on back, Gus

Hiddick.

One thing can be

said with certainty:

rugby league has

been the real winner.
